Reducing energy- and production costs

Some production parameters strongly influence the characteristics of films and items with semi- crystalline polymers – for example, in the case of PP-homo or HDPE –. Especially the cooling speed during extrusion or injection molding can heavily alter the solidification speed of these polymers and thereby influence the strength and transparency of the final product.

Nucleating agents are effective tools to reduce the crystallization temperature of these polymers while also reducing the processing temperature.

Because of these effects, energy- and production costs as well as throughput times can be significantly reduced.
